The two-week dining event provides a great excuse to try a new restaurant or plan a day trip around a meal. You could take the weekday New York Waterway ferry from Beacon to Newburgh, for instance, and walk 10 minutes to participating restaurant Toasted, then explore the city’s renowned architecture. Or eat at New York Restaurant in Greene County, and hit up the Thomas Cole National Historic Site and Subversive Brewing to round out a Catskill day trip.
