La Victoria | Dallas Restaurant Guide 2022 | Dallas Observer

Whether you’re hungover or just plain hungry, the breakfast burritos at La Victoria in East Dallas are the cure for what ails you. From the outside it looks like a run-down drive-in, but as anyone who’s ever hooked up with a “hottie” from Craigslist knows, looks can be deceiving. Grab a table or a bar seat inside this tiny family-owned joint and order up a breakfast burrito (or two – they’re a bargain at under three bucks) and a cup of coffee. Try the gut-busting Zack Attack with bacon, potatoes, eggs, beans and jalapeños, or for something slightly more virtuous, build your own with egg whites and various fillings from chorizo and ham to spinach and avocado. There are also gorditas, huevos rancheros and migas on the all-day breakfast menu. If it’s lunch you’re after, try a taco, tostada or torta. Just be warned, they’re only open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Saturday, so get there early or you’ll find yourself sadly burrito-less.
