The Brown Hotel’s signature dining room, the English Grill serves contemporary American cuisine with a Kentucky twist. Dark oak paneling, lead glass windows, tracery ceilings, and equestrian paintings give this refined room the atmosphere of a private club. From graduation dinners and Derby Day celebrations to wedding anniversaries and birthday parties, the English Grill is widely considered Louisville’s finest dining. Contemporary foodies especially enjoy the English Grill’s two unique Chef’s Tables: the Classic Chef’s Table accommodates four to eight guests for a five-course dinner while the Theater Chef’s Table is a cooking school-style event for up to 30 guests with small-plate dining and beverage pairings.

The English Grill menu offers an eclectic selection of appetizers, homemade soups, salads, and entrees—all crafted by our talented culinary team led by English Grill Executive Chef Dustin Willett. Save room for the Chocolate Striptease, a signature dessert finished with flaming Bacardi 151 Rum.
