Mexican Restaurant: People Threaten To Call ICE Over Masks | Newsradio WTAM 1100 | Mike Trivisonno

A Mexican restaurant in Houston says people are threatening to call ICE on its staff because the place is continuing its mask requirement.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott is dropping the statewide mask mandate but has said businesses can continue to require them.

The owners of Picos said they’ve also gotten calls from people saying the staff’s green cards and paperwork needed to be examined. They say the hate they’ve received is horrific.

The Texas Restaurant Association is urging restaurants to continue to require staff to wear masks and encourage customers to wear them as well.
