Founded in 2008 by Hady Kfoury, Naya has spent over a decade operating at a single location in Midtown at 1057 Second Avenue. Featuring a menu built upon the original techniques and recipes of older generations of Lebanese women, Naya earned acclaim in particular for its perfectly char-grilled and seasoned meats. Now, after investment from BCD Real Estate Brokerage, Hady and the Naya team are finally expanding with a set of new restaurants slated to open in the East Village.

Founded by CEO Andrew Moger, BCD has an impressive portfolio that includes iconic franchises like Dos Toros, Melt Shop, Bareburger, and Five Guys. With such a powerful team behind him, Hady is finally able to expand his restaurant into an exciting new franchise. With a total of five new locations planned for Manhattan, the first one expected to open will be the new Naya at 83 University Place.

Replacing the popular Mint Kitchen that opened up at that location in 2019, Naya will enjoy a refreshing 4,782 square feet of space. Functioning as a fast-casual restaurant with a central food counter, Naya will have enough space to offer up to 40 seats for dine-in patrons, though they are expected to emphasize take-out and delivery options. While further information is still forthcoming regarding the other locations, What Now New York will be sure to keep you updated as further details emerge.
