Oklahoma Hunter Education Classroom Classes

Available classroom courses can be found on the events calendar HERE.

The instructor will lead the students through all eight hours of the class. Classes typically run from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Saturdays, but can also be broken into two or three days or a home study option.

Special arrangements and testing procedures can be made for persons with disabilities. Contact the Wildlife Department at (405) 521-4636 two weeks prior to course if person has disabilities which require special arrangements.

  • ALL HUNTER EDUCATION CLASSES ARE FREE.
  • Hunters ages 9 and younger are not eligible to take the test for Hunter Education certification; instead, these hunters will be able to buy an apprentice-designated hunting license. Online License Sales 
  • Anyone age 30 or younger may buy an apprentice-designated hunting license. A hunter age 31 years or older is not required to have Hunter Education in Oklahoma.

Oklahoma accepts Hunter Education certificates from all states so if you can’t find a course near you, you may want to consider a course in a neighboring state or our online course. Click one of the states below to see if they are offering a course near you.
