We went for lunch Great soul food ! Darn good fried chicken,Mac and cheese, greens and everything in between, excellent fried catfish!
Kind of out of the way in not so great of a neighborhood. Staff very friendly and fast. A must do when your in Charleston.

I haven’t had a meal at Bertha’s kitchen. The bread pudding and candy yams is something you don’t want to miss.

Omgsh!!! Their food is sooo good! My husband and I visited Charleston for the weekend and wanted some good home cooking. Having lived my whole life in the South…I know Soul Food. The fried chicken, pork chops, rice & brown gravy, yams, Mac & cheese and cabbage were awesome! Can’t wait to tell my family back in Charlotte about this experience!

Had the fish sandwich two big pieces of fish not broken in have saying it’s a two piece and delicious ? filled me up for lunch definitely going back
