I visited Ruth’s for the first time. I got liver, greens, & cabbage. The liver was not seasoned properly. The greens & cabbage were undercooked. What soul food restaurant can’t cook greens & cabbage???!!! Plus they had a very bad taste to them. I was highly pissed to have sent almost $12 for this garbage! Ruth doesn’t deserve the title soul food because the food disgusting! Plus the workers don’t know how to address customers. They kept on calling me ma. That is not how you address customers. This was the worst experience that I ever had. I should have gone to the Paw Paw Patch! Now that’s soul food. Ruth you are not soul food!

This was my first time eating at Ruth’s Cafe and the food was fantastic!!!!! I called my friends and family to let them know about the new restaurant I had found. I will definitely return. Keep up the good food and pleasant atmosphere.

Hole in the wall with great soul food. Ate there twice in one day on a short visit to Birmingham. Best grits I’ve ever eaten. Collard greens delicious and baked chicken so tender it just fell off the bone. Fried green tomatoes were also very good! Fast and friendly service!
