1. Cove Cay Golf Club

Cove Cay’s Golf Club is located in Pinellas County along Tampa Bay.

The course can be played from one of four sets of tees ranging from 4216 to 6079 yards. The signature hole is the par 5 17th that features a tiny peninsula green.

Golfers can enjoy the views of Tampa Bay along with the back nine while trying to avoid water hazards on each of the last six holes.

The strategically-placed bunkers from course designer David Wallace add to the complexity and provide a great test of golf for even the best players.

The course is semi-private (but open to the public with tee times and rates displayed 24/7) and memberships are available annually or seasonally, which is perfect for both locals and visitors.

How Much Does it Cost at the Cove Cay Golf Club?

Rates through April are $55 plus tax all day for 18 holes and $32 for nine holes.

From May 1 through June 30, rates are $55 before noon for 18 holes and $32 for nine holes.

Rates for the driving range are $5 for a small bucket of balls and $8 for a large bucket of balls. For more information on rates later in the season, call 727-535-1406.

The golf shop at Cove Cay Golf Club is open 7 am until 6 pm in the summer and 7 am until 5 pm in the winter.

An authorized Ping Dealer, Cove Cay Golf Shop does Ping custom club fitting.

Merchandise carried includes top quality golf apparel, footwear, gifts, and gift certificates which are good for a year upon purchase.

In addition to a picturesque driving range, Cove Cay Golf Club has a complete practice area with bunkers, chipping and putting green.

2. The Landings Golf Club

The location where the golf course is situated was originally used as an Air field in the early 1930s.

The golf course, which was established in 1970, was designed by Ron Garl.

A unique 18-hole layout of par 63 with nine par 4s and nine par 3s, the Landings Golf Club is owned and operated by the family of PGA Tour professional John Huston.

Located behind the Clearwater Airpark, this public course provides a combination of challenge and enjoyment.

How Much Does it Cost at the Landings Golf Club?

Tee times range from 7 am to 5 pm.

Rates effective at the start of the year were $34 to ride and $29 to walk from 7 am to 1 pm and $29 to ride and $25 to walk, 1 pm to 5 pm.

Have a club with a broken shaft or an old grip that needs replacing? Landings Golf Club is completely equipped to fix your clubs.

They offer standard, mid-sized or oversized grips, custom-fitting services with lie and loft adjustments, and can replace missing clubs.

A recently renovated clubhouse has two large-screened televisions where you can relax with a drink or hot dog before or after your round.

Driving range hours are Monday through Wednesday 7 am to 6 pm, Thursday 7 am to 4 pm, and Friday through Sunday 7 am to 6 pm.

Prices are $6 for a small bucket, $8 for a medium bucket, and $10 for a large bucket.

Range card can be purchased for $100 and you get $120. Pay $200 and get $250, or pay $300 and get $390.

3. Largo Golf Course

Opened in 1969, the Largo Golf Course is an 18-hole, par 62 executive course that plays at 3300 yards from the longest of two sets of tees.

The greens and fairways and beautifully manicured and are made of Bermuda grass.

How Much Does it Cost at Largo Golf Course?

Rates for April are $22.50 and $29.50 for riding before noon and $22.50 for walking, and $25 for riding after noon.

The nine-hole rate is $15.50 for walking and $20.50 for riding before noon, and $15.50 for walking and $18.50 for riding after noon.

Take advantage of the twilight rates after 4 pm of $13.50 to walk and $18.50 to ride.

You can buy a 10 greens-fee package for $202.50 to walk and $265.50 to ride.

Single-player cart rates are $10 for nine holes and $16 for 18 holes.

A clubhouse, pro shop, spacious practice putting green, and hitting net are available. For food, beer, and wine served both indoors and outdoors, head to Café 19.

Group lessons are available for players of all abilities.

Lessons are Saturdays from 9 am – 10 am and cost $40 per month or $15 per class.

Sign up for individual riding lessons where a teaching professional will take you on the course for nine holes. It’s the perfect way to learn all aspects of the game. Lessons are $90 for one person and $120 for two people.

You can also rent the course for private parties, outings, birthdays, whatever your occasion.

Included is over 800 square feet of open space with a seating capacity of 56.
