The Dunes Golf Course is one of two golf courses at Riverdale Golf Club. The Dunes is the more expensive of the two — although non-residents still pay less than $50 to play on the weekend — and the more popular play. That’s because the Pete and Perry Dye design, located about 30 minutes outside Denver, is considered to be among the top public golf courses in Colorado. The Dunes is a Scottish-style links course, filled with pot bunkers and railroad ties, and is an enjoyable and challenging course for any level of golfer. The par-3 eighth has a shallow green with water in the front and some of the toughest rough on the golf course, and the short par-4 finishing hole has a difficult green to navigate. Riverdale Golf Club is also home to the Colorado Golf Hall of Fame.
