Rockville Is Home To Four Essential Chinese Restaurants: Eater

ROCKVILLE, MD — When it comes to outstanding Chinese restaurants in the D.C. metro area, Rockville has some of the best. That's according to a new list published by Eater DC.
The list, released on Aug. 5, features 16 Chinese restaurants — most are in the District. However, four of them are in Rockville. The eateries that made the cut: Shanghai Taste; Bob's Shanghai 66; A&J Restaurant; and Joe's Noodle House.
Here's a rundown for each restaurant:
Located at 1121 Nelson St., Shanghai Taste is known for its traditional Chinese soup and pan-fried dumplings. People who come to this cozy, simple spot can also enjoy an array of chef's specials, pork with rice cakes, and more.
Bob's Shanghai 66
Looking for a dumpling fix? Check out Bob's Shanghai 66. This cash-only Chinese restaurant serves soup dumpling that are often stuffed with pork or a mix of crab roe and pork. Other items on the menu include shrimp in chili sauce, spicy beef tendon, and flounder. Bob's Shanghai 66 is located at 305 N. Washington St.
A&J Restaurant, a Rockville mainstay, makes all-natural noodles (both thick and thin) on site. At this family-owned restaurant, diners can enjoy traditional fare from Taipei, Taiwan. Other specialties on the menu include: A&J's spicy beef noodle soup and green scallion pancakes. You can swing by 1319 Rockville Pike for more.
Joe's Noodle House
Joe's Noodle House is known for its Sichuan cuisine. Mongolian beef with cumin at this restaurant was chosen by The Washington Post as one of "The 40 dishes Washingtonians shouldn't live without in 2013." Joe's Noodle House is located at 1488 Rockville Pike.
