Executive Chef, James Montoya, a New Mexico native, moves to Hot Springs, Virginia from New Orleans, Louisiana, bringing with him over 30 years of culinary experience, having worked from coast to coast, border to border, to the Caribbean, and back, alongside notable chefs, Wolfgang Puck and Emeril Lagasse. James is eager to return the Sam Snead Tavern to a traditional Tavern menu concept, sourcing local purveyors and products while passionately preparing his menu from scratch, featuring our soon-to-be-famous OregonTrail Breads, House Made Desserts, Ice Creams and Sorbets of the Day!
