SAT Strategy Course
Being prepared is the key to SAT success and Penn State Berks is committed to providing an opportunity for students to review key concepts for the SAT exam by being able to ask questions and receive immediate answers, interact with other students, and prepare with an experienced live instructor. Our SAT Strategy sessions assists students in becoming familiar with the exam content, format and timing.
SAT scores are required for most college admissions and there is a good deal that rides on student’s scores, namely admission to choice schools and scholarships. Our newly revised course will include a general review of Math concepts, but the focus will be on the mechanics of the SAT exam and mastering strategy skills. Students will be expected to work on assignments out of class to develop their test taking skills.
- In particular, the course will focus on:
- Test design and grading of test
- Multiple Choice Methodology
- Guessing strategies
- Timing and efficiency
- Mathematical Content Connections
It is suggested that students considering this course have completed at least two years of high school algebra.

What Others Are Saying
“I was in your spring SAT strategy class, and I just took my SAT in August. I received my scores a week ago, and I improved my math score from my PSAT by 100 points and my LA score by 90 points! I found your advice regarding how to approach and recognize the different types of math problems very helpful. Thank you for helping me achieve my goal!”

“I just wanted to contact you to show my appreciation for the strategies and lessons on how to take the SAT you taught me over the past 2 months. I felt much more confident taking the SAT on Saturday morning since I last took it in November. I found myself using the strategies you showed us throughout the entire test. Again, thank you, and I will definitely be recommending this course to my friends!”
