Simon Pearce menu in Quechee, Vermont, USA

Justly famous for lovely glassware, the Simon Pearce restaurant is just as wonderful. First, the location, right on the river, rustic in a comfortable and elegant way. All of the glassware is their own, so they set a beautiful table.

The menu is of the region. The bread and butter is brown bread and little bisquits with sweet butter. Our starter was butternut soup, then a lamb burger with spinach salad, a chicken sandwich and the special of the day, fish and chips for our party of three. The plates are well dressed, and a few changes, like hold the dressing, done right.

Service is pleasant and efficient. Tables are by reservation only, and were full, so the staff has to be good to manage it all.

The restaurant is in the same building as the shop, with lots of parking in the back by the river. An absolutely pleasant Vermont treat.
