Just when you thought the margarita couldn’t get any better, Adobe Verde dared to dream. In a stroke of pure agave genius, Verde set about fusing two of our favorite words in the exotic-food vocabulary: “sangria” and “margarita”. Stop by this local favorite and enjoy a sangria margarita! And don’t skip on stopping in for lunch, you can get a great meal every weekday between 11:00-3:00 for under $10!

4. Casa Garcias (1691 State Hwy 46W)

6. Herberts (1440 N Walnut Ave)

When it comes to Mexican food in New Braunfels, Herbert’s tops the list…or at least, that’s what they claim on their website! Herberts offers some pretty knockout menu items, from enchiladas to tamales. And when it comes to margaritas, Herberts offers a pretty unique one: the Bob-a-Rita. Perfect for National Margarita Day, Mamacitas boasts a margarita menu that rivals any other in town! Try a standard margarita with different tequilas for distinct flavors, or try something crazy like the Dos XX Rita (which has a Dos Equis beer turned upside down in the glass) or a Mexican Mama-tini (a Mexican martini garnished with olives). Of course, they also have sangria margs and pina coladas for fans of the fruitier drinks.
