I am leaving review based on the golf course. When I go play golf I'm basing it straight up on what the course is like and this golf course is 5 stars. They had just hosted the Latin American PGA Tour Championship the day before we played here. The layout is great for the most part. There are some spots where slopes run off toward the jungle from the fairways and greens however this is typical of a Robert Trent Jones design. Overall though it was awesome and beautiful. Hole #6 has a very cool Cenote right by the green. Hole 14 is a great par 5 and hole 15 which is the signature hole is a 245 yard par 3 from the tips all over water. Greens weren't super fast, but were plenty quick very smooth and held well. Fairways were immaculate, I mean perfect. Again the five stars I'm leaving is for the course.
Now as for the other parts rental clubs were ok. Taylor Made M4 and M6 woods and M6 irons. Grips could probably be replaced at this point. My dads M6 driver was in rough shape multiple dents and really unplayable. He used the M4 out of my bag. Check them out 1st and if you get one like that they will change it out. The carts were fine maybe they have changed? My only complaint was no GPS on carts. But course and sprinklers are well marked with distances. Kind of playing like when I was younger. Pro shop staff was ok, they weren't overly helpful but not rude. Balls are priced by the sleeve and are a bit pricey and heads up you'll likely lose some. Pro shop didn't have any hats for sale. Cart and bag guys did a good job but not a lot of direction without specifically asking.
