The Courses At Watters Creek, Plano, TX

No matter what type of golf experience you are looking for Watters Creek Golf offers it. The 18-hole Traditions Course offers the traditional round of golf, but the robust facility also includes a 9-hole par 30 executive course, a 6-hole pitch and putt routing, robust practice facilities, and even offers footgolf. The full-length Traditions Course maxes out at 7,015 yards but features a half-dozen sets of tees to ensure every golfer can find their own comfort zone. The course par is 72, the rating is 74.1 and it has a slope rating of 139 on Bermuda grass. The course is a redesign of the former Chase Oaks course, with a reversed routing and some redesigned holes. The facility is just a half-hour drive from Dallas and 25 minutes from Frisco. Weekday rounds cost just $45 before twilight or senior discounts, while Allen residents play for just $35. Weekend rounds cost up to $59 with a cart, a great value for a challenging course. The practice facility includes a driving range and one of the best short game areas in the region. That short game practice facility has three chipping greens and five practice bunkers, with fairway and rough cuts to hone shots 25 yards and in. Designed by Bruce Devlin/Robert von Hagge/(R) D. A. Wiebring, the Traditions golf course opened in 2013. Jeff Holt manages the course as the Director of Golf.
