The Donald Ross Course at French Lick | French Lick Resort

The Donald Ross Course allows golfers to step back in time and experience the game the way it was meant to be played. Built in 1917, this award-winning course designed by renowned architect Donald Ross maintains many elements of its classic design today. Among the trademark Ross features are 80 bunkers with flat bottoms and deep, gnarly faces, along with square and rectangular shaped greens that severely undulate. Thirty-five of these bunkers are original to the course Ross constructed in 1917. This par-70 course has been rated the No. 2 public course in Indiana by GolfWeek every year since 2011.

Hagen’s Club House Restaurant is the original clubhouse. When weather permits, the best seat in the house is on the veranda. Inside or out, this historic structure includes a pro shop and a relaxing atmosphere for a cocktail or bite to eat — perfect for after a round or anytime.
