We always enjoy the low key, unpretentious quality and good food at this ski town restaurant. Specialties are the plump and juicy roasted duckling with a different sauce each day, rack of lamb, elk fillets and the game special, which could be stuffed quail or marinated elk with red wine, wild mushrooms and pearl onion sauce. Fresh Rocky Mountain trout is prepared amandine, baked and stuffed or grilled. Overall, this is the kind of place you can go to in jeans and a nice sweater after a day on the mountain, have a delicious dinner and relaxed conversation and be quite content to be back at the condo by 10:30 p.m.
