“We had an exceptional meal at Talula’s. The atmosphere, the quality of the ingredients and the originality of the combinations were really superb. We especially loved the cheeseboard. Our waiter was charming and extremely proficient. Imagine my shock when, upon asking to take home the remains of my short rib entree, the busser…handed me a box so that I could self-package it at the table.

Honestly I suddenly felt like we’d been transported to a Denny’s! Never had this happen at a fine dining restaurant. I don’t know if this was a training mistake or if this is standard practice, but it was kind of a buzz kill that ended a wonderful experience on an off note. Hence, I am rating Talula’s four, rather than five stars.”
