Sin City offers more to then just gambling, shows, great food and an entertaining nightlife. Golfers from around the world visit Las Vegas every year to play golf as part of a weekend getaway, business trip, or a bachelor party with their closest friends.
Las Vegas offers some of the nicest golf courses in the West, and although you’re in a desert, you’ll enjoy walks through beautiful lush green fairways with picturesque views of the Desert Mountains.
So with careful consideration (and a lot of wishing we were there right now) we bring you the top 10 public golf courses in Las Vegas.
10. Aliante Golf Club (Las Vegas, NV – $$)
The Aliante Golf Club Course in Las Vegas, is the newest, upscale daily fee golf facility in the area. What started as a patch of raw desert became one of the area’s most popular venues. This track is best described as a neatly designed desert course that offers a wide variety of risk/reward opportunities.
The Aliante Golf Club Course plays a lengthy 7,022 yards from the tips, and is highlighted by tough sand traps and trees not considered indigenous to the desert. The bunkers have been strategically placed to compliment the rocky arroyo that comes into play on 14 of the 18 holes.
With all its beauty and at a reasonable price point, the Aliante Golf Club Course would be an obvious choice to include on your next Las Vegas golf vacation.

9. Royal Links Golf Club (Las Vegas, NV – $$)
Wait…is this Scotland or Vegas?
Royal Links was modeled after 11 different British Open host courses including St. Andrews, Royal Birkdale, Royal Lytham, and Royal Liverpool. The track was recognized as the “Best Course in Las Vegas” in the 2006 Review Journal “Best Of Vegas” poll and earned status as one of “America’s BEST Courses” by GolfWeek.
The course is located less than 20 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip, and their golf shop was ranked as one of “American’s Best 100 Golf Shops” in 2004 & 2005 by GolfWorld Business.
Beautiful “Parmates” can be hired as caddies for about $300 with tip, but don’t try to break etiquette on this course; these girls are simply here to act as your caddie and nothing else.

8. Bali Hai Golf Course (Las Vegas, NV – $$$)
If you’re traveling to Vegas make sure you don’t miss out on playing Bali Hai. GolfWorld readers named this track as one of the “Top 50 Golf Courses in the Country”, and it’s located right on Las Vegas Strip.
This pristine golf club provides everything a golfer normally looks for on a vacation or business golf trip. Booking a round in prime season is costly, but when in Vegas, you pay to play.
While playing your round, you can soak up some of the spectacular views of Vegas Strip, overlooking some of the major hotels such as Luxor and Mandalay Bay.
If you’re staying on the Strip, this is probably one of the cheapest taxi rides (along with the Wynn) to any course in the area. This is also easily one of the nicest courses out there, so next time you’re in Sin City…play Bali Hai…you’ll be glad you did.
Insider tip: don’t pay full price for the round, check their website which regularly offers discounted greens fees.

7. Las Vegas National (Las Vegas, NV – $$$)
Las Vegas National Golf Club is one of the oldest courses in Las Vegas. The club was originally known as the Stardust Country Club back in 1961 and became Las Vegas National in 1998.
More than 20 LPGA and PGA Tour events have taken place at Las Vegas National Golf Club, and the track has hosted countless big name champions, including Jack Nicklaus, Lee Trevino, Davis Love and, of course, Tiger Woods.
The course is conveniently located just a couple of miles from The Strip, and would make for a great round with friends or clients.

6. TPC Las Vegas (Las Vegas, NV – $$)
Tournament Players Club Las Vegas has some of the most spectacular views of any golf course in the world. The backdrop of Red Rock Canyon presents a rugged natural landscape, and the track itself is a test to even the most experienced golfers.
This is the premier PGA TOUR property in Las Vegas making it a destination for celebrities and PGA TOUR players alike. Golf Digest labeled TPC Las Vegas as one of the “Best Places to Play” and the course served as the long-time host of the Champions TOUR’s Las Vegas Senior Classic (1994-2001).
Playing at TPC Las Vegas offers golfers the chance to experience the same standards of quality and service typically reserved only for the pro golfer.

5. Arroyo Golf Club at Red Rock (Las Vegas, NV – $$$)
Whether you’re a Las Vegas native or just visiting Sin City, you simply must play the Arroyo Golf Club.
Nestled between the spectacular landscapes of Red Rock Canyon, this track is one of Las Vegas’ most famous natural landmarks and it offers stunning panoramic views of the Las Vegas cityscape.
The golf course was, until recently, one of Nevada’s best kept secrets. Red Rock Country Club was formally a private facility where only a fortunate few were able to enjoy its world-class amenities, including one of Arnold Palmer’s best signature layouts. With the opening of the Arroyo Golf Club to the public, this Vegas gem is yours to explore!

4. Wolf Course at Paiute Golf Resort (Las Vegas, NV – $$)
Only the master, Pete Dye, could have imagined such a desert layout as The Wolf Course at Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort.
One of three stunning layouts on the property, it plays a little more than 7,600 yards (par 72 with a course rating of 76.3 and a slope rating of 149), which makes the Wolf course at Las Vegas Paiute Resort the longest golf course in Nevada.
From the beauty of its natural desert surroundings to the stunning island green of the signature fifteenth hole, the Wolf offers a dramatic round of golf no matter what your handicap or level of skill might be.
Designed by Pete Dye, the Wolf golf course opened in 2001 and is carefully cared for by General Manager Chad Gunier.

3. Wynn Las Vegas Golf Course (Las Vegas, NV – $$$)
Just when you thought that a golf course couldn’t be carved into the casino playground, Steve Wynn and Tom Fazio proved doubters wrong. Today the Wynn Las Vegas remains the only golf course attached to a casino on the Strip.
This challenging par 70, 18-hole gem is tucked into the grounds of the Wynn and Encore Casinos and has proven to be one the premier golf courses in Nevada.
Don’t worry if you forgot your clubs (or lost them in a bet) the Wynn will even provide you with complimentary Callaway clubs and Foot Joy shoes! Caddies are available to help you navigate the beautiful terrain – and what’s neat (and rare) about this course is that you can even book a tee-time 3 months out.

2. Cascata (Boulder City, NV – $$$$)
Cascata offers golfers an experience like no other. This par-72 course provides stunning views at every turn which includes the 3,600-foot peak at Red Mountain, as well as beautifully landscaped fairways, lakes, and streams.
You can easily book a tee time here, grab a tour-class caddie, and head out for a round of 18 under the dessert sun. Additionally, the 37,000-square-foot clubhouse offers a luxurious ambiance with friendly staff members who always seem willing to do whatever it takes to make your experience one to remember.
The golf shop also carries all kinds of name brand equipment, apparel, and accessories, and the men’s and ladies’ lounges are equipped with every conceivable amenity.

1. Shadow Creek (North Las Vegas, NV – $$$$)
It was terribly difficult to pick the No.1 golf course in Las Vegas, but if we had to give you one track to play during your stay out there, it would be Shadow Creek.
Guest of MGM Resorts, can easily score a tee time here, but be ready to open up the wallet for this one! This Tom Fazio design offers some of the most breathtaking views and pristine landscape in all of Las Vegas. Every hole at Shadow Creek could make a signature statement at most golf courses throughout the world. Sparkling creeks, large waterfalls and beautiful gardens are framed against desert mountains, just begging you to take out your camera phone on every hole.
Home to Michael Jordan’s Celebrity Invitational, Shadow Creek is no stranger to upscale events. The course will even provide you with a private limousine to transport you to and from your location. Upon arrival, your personal caddie will greet and guide you through a once in a lifetime golf experience.
