Tram Restaurant Hoftrammm is a tram which has been converted into a modern and elegant restaurant and which is fully equipped with all (restorative) amenities, including a professional kitchen and a toilet. On board this culinary tram, on a fixed route through the city centre of The Hague towards Scheveningen and back, a high-quality, 4-course dinner (including wine, beer or alcohol-free package) is prepared and served. There can be catered for a gluten, nuts and lactose free and a vegetarian menu. Booking in advance is necessary.

All inclusive package
The all inclusive package includes:

  • a dinner lasting in excess of 2-hour
  • an aperitif and home-made bread
  • an excellent 4-course dinner (created by Pierre Wind, a famous Dutch TV-Chef)
  • matching and unlimited wine menus and mineral water (it is also possible to order a special menu of The Hague beer or a non alcoholic arrangement). Note: given the limited space on board, there are no other beverages available.

The price for the fixed package deal is €79,50.

Menu
There is a 4-course dinner (consisting of fish and meat dishes). Do you prefer a vegetarian meal? Indicate this when making your reservation.

Children
Unfortunately, Hoftrammm does not cater specially for (small) children and has no seats or additional facilities for them. There is no special children’s menu, so an adults menu should be ordered.

Departure location
The official place to get on and off the restaurant tram is at Voorburg Station, Stationsplein 1. At that location, it is safe to get on and off without the hindrance of traffic. At least 15 minutes before departure, a host will be present there to assist you in getting aboard the Hoftrammm.

Route
The Hoftrammm ride will start in Voorburg and follows the route of tram line 9 towards Scheveningen (Zwarte Pad). On its journey, various The Hague sights, such as Lange Voorhout and Hofvijver, go by. Hoftrammm continues via tram line 1 to the city centre to Hollands Spoor Station, the oldest station of The Hague (1843). This station, with a monumental platform building, will be passed on its way to Scheveningen (line 11). From Scheveningen, the journey back through the city centre of The Hague will take you through the stately Statenkwartier. Changes to the route may be caused as a result to traffic disruption etc.

Duration
The culinary ride will take about 2 hours and 15 minutes, depending on traffic and road conditions.

Cloakroom and restroom
Tram Restaurant Hoftrammm offers a (small) cloakroom. It is recommended that you bring just what is strictly necessary, since the space on board is limited. There is also a restroom on board.

Reservations and payment
Reservations are required and may be done quite simply through the website of Tram Restaurant Hoftrammm. There is no possibility to pay on board, because all payments are handled online.
