What to know about the summer 2022 edition of Birmingham Restaurant Week – al.com

The summer 2022 edition of Birmingham Restaurant week is in full swing. The 10-day dining event, which runs until Saturday, July 30, offers patrons the chance to indulge in two, three, and four course meals at participating restaurants, bars, and food trucks.

More than 50 restaurants are on the roster for Birmingham Restaurant Week. Now in its 13th year, the dining series will also donate proceeds to FeedBHM, a food rescue program of Grace Klein Community (GKC) that rescues food to end hunger and food waste.

This year’s Birmingham Restaurant Week lineup includes 5 Point Public Bar Oyster House, Audrey’s Restaurant, Avondale Common House, Aww Shucks Fire Roasted Corn, Bay Leaf Modern Indian Cuisine & Bar, Chop N Fresh, and Bistro Two Eighteen. This year’s Wine-O-logy event is at Birmingham Botanical Gardens:

Wine-O-logy, Birmingham Restaurant Week’s wine flight tasting event, is on Tuesday, July 26 at Birmingham Botanical Gardens, featuring wine provided by United-Johnson Brothers of Alabama. The event will span throughout the gardens and inside the cafe. Admission to the event gets patrons five wine tastings with five hors d’oeuvres and a full glass of wine. Tickets for Wine-O-ology are available via Eventbrite.

Birmingham Restaurant Week will feature two food trucks:

Two food trucks are on the roster for Birmingham Restaurant Week: Aww Shucks and Fat Charles BBQ. Aww Shucks is a gourmet fire-roasted corn food truck that specializes in unique flavors such as Flaming Hot, Mexican Street Corn, and Creamy Lemon Pepper. Aww Shucks also holds the Guinness World Record for the most corn husked in a minute. Fat Charles BBQ is famous for its OG and Birria Tacos. This week, patrons can get four OG tacos for $15 during dinner service.

FeedBHM is a food rescue program of Grace Klein Community, an educational and charitable nonprofit providing support to food-insecure families in the Birmingham area. Feed BHM rescues food from local restaurants, grocers and cafes.
