Why This New Manhattan Beach Restaurant Is Our Editor’s New Favorite Spot

This New Manhattan Beach Restaurant Will Be Your New Favorite

While it’s been a tough past year for restaurants and new businesses, 2021 isn’t stopping JOEY. After having to pivot and push the opening of the restaurant, JOEY is finally open for guests to enjoy. JOEY opened just days ago in Manhattan Village (other SoCal locations include DTLA and Woodland Hills), and we can’t say enough good things about it!  JOEY Manhattan Beach

First, the design is a dream. The space is 9,400 square feet of pure bliss. It’s chic, clean, sophisticated and truly transports you elsewhere as you grab lunch with a coworker or meet your date for dinner here. With an expansive outdoor patio, guests can dine outdoors feeling safe and comfortable. Indoors, a green ceiling installation offers a lush, oasis setting, and as you walk towards the back of the restaurant, you’ll find a custom painting by local LA artist Amber Goldhammer.

Now to the most important part: the food. You’re most likely going to want to order everything on the globally-inspired menu, and we recommend you go for it. At least to start, try the Szechuan chicken or tofu lettuce wraps, Korean fried cauliflower, pan-fried gyoza and beautifully presented hummus with crispy pita. Moving onto entrees, JOEY boasts a wide variety of fan favorites like sushi, salads, tacos, sandwiches, burgers and steaks. Everyone is bound to find something they love on this menu. And to satisfy your sweet tooth, dessert options include warm Italian donuts, chocolate cake and baked apple pie. As far as cocktails, the Spicy Passionfruit Margarita and Leading Lady came highly recommended.

So the next time you’re making the decision of where to eat for dinner, move JOEY right on up to the top of your list.
